In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, GAO has launched several initiatives to provide oversight on various aspects of the government's response efforts. This includes monitoring the distribution of relief funds, assessing the effectiveness of pandemic-related programs, evaluating testing capabilities, tracking vaccine distribution efforts, and ensuring transparency and accountability in emergency spending related to COVID-19.
