As part of its global security initiatives, Sandia leads the International Biological Threat Reduction Program (IBTR). This program works with partner countries worldwide to strengthen their capabilities in biosafety, biosecurity, disease surveillance, and response preparedness to prevent biological threats from emerging or spreading globally.
